Dr. Mark Asbach

Currently, I work on computer vision applications in the automotive and industrial vision domains.

My research interests are face and object detection, video content analysis and computer vision in general, pattern recognition (hence this page :-) ), and 3D reconstruction. I do research and coding mainly with Python, numpy and OpenCV, although I'm a C++ hacker originally.

We've now got an open source implementation of the Region Covariance descriptor, accompanied by some example code, all based on OpenCV.


Initial slots have been assigned, and OpenCV has many more good students than we can mentor.
