Mark Asbach

Currently, I'm pursuing a PhD at RWTH Aachen University, while in parallel doing research on computer vision at Fraunhofer IAIS.

My research interests are face detection, video content analysis and computer vision in general, pattern recognition (hence this page :-) ) and 3D reconstruction. I do research and coding mainly with Python, numpy and OpenCV, although I'm a C++ hacker originally.

We've now got an open source implementation of the Region Covariance descriptor, accompanied by some example code, all based on OpenCV.
